kickstarter is all-or-nothing. if we don't reach the goal, nobody is charged.

we build the batch
parts are ordered and pots are assembled and tested in poland. backers get updates along the way.

hardware is hard. here's what can slip.
parts
lead times on chips and screens can move. we'll order critical parts as soon as the campaign funds.
certification
a device that goes into homes needs CE testing. it takes time and we've planned for it.
the housing
aluminum panels and the inner core go through prototype rounds before production. we're in the first one now.
when something slips, backers and the list hear it from us first, with the reason and the new date.
